About the event
Ages middle school and up. Younger with adult assistance.
Kinusaiga is a Japanese-inspired art form often described as painting with fabric. Using foam boards and adhesive, fabric is tucked into pre-cut grooves to create dimensional designs. We'll use these principles to assemble vibrant fabrics into geometric patterns reminiscent of quilt blocks. We'll have multiple designs to choose from and a large selection of colorful fabrics. Final designs will be mounted into wood frames. No experience necessary and all supplies provided. But consider bringing any sentimental fabrics you want to incorporate into your project.
