Connecting, Creating and Sharing
Fatimah Arifin: Born and raised in Indonesia, originally from Borneo island and grew up in Java island. She is now a floral arranger, small business owner, parent volunteer, Costco employee and mother who calls Verona, HOME.
Joanne Mueller: Originally from Hawaii she now is a Recruiter and parent volunteer and Mama who lives in Fitchburg.
Our Story
Fatimah and Joanne met while volunteering on the FUNdraising team at Verona Area International School. They bonded over shared birthdays, kids who are best friends and a desire to bring community, connection and beauty to the world around them. They hope that the Verona Maker Space, women jia (Chinese for our House) can be a spot for sharing community and culture as well as sharing artistic skills between generations.
